Rustic Willow Basket Weaving
A one day introduction to rustic willow basket weaving suitable for beginners.
Each course participant will make two simple baskets during the day.
1- Danish bread basket – excellent for learning basic basket weaving techniques.
2-Traditional round fruit basket.
If suitable we can incorporate some of the Denmark Farm material cut on Saturday 15th November into the baskets to add some colour.
The day will include discussion of willow varieties, preparation of materials, tools, hedgerow baskets.
All pre-prepared willow and a number of tools such as secateurs, knives, bodkins etc. will be provided for your use
If you have your own secateurs and a sharpish knife, please bring them along. Please wear warm old clothing.

Fee: £35 (includes all materials)
Discounted to £25 if you participate fully in our volunteer day on Saturday 15th November ( Willow Management and Coppicing Day).
