February Half Term
Big Spawn Count – Wednesday 27th February 2019
Be part of Freshwater Habitats Trust’s annual Big Spawn Count by visiting the ponds at Denmark Farm and looking for signs of toad and frog spawn.
Learn more about ponds, and the features of a wildlife-friendly pond with our Site Manager Linda Bradshaw-Wood.
We will be running two separate sessions, one in the morning (10.30am-12pm) and one in the afternoon (1.30-3pm) and offering hot and cold drinks and homemade cakes at our Pop up Cafe from 12 to 4pm.
The Big Spawn Count is a family friendly event and everyone is welcome to take part. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
YOUNG RANGERS: Outdoor After School Club
Every Thursday, during school term time, from 4pm-6pm (starting back after February half term)
Young Rangers is a weekly after-school club for primary school aged children. There are no targets to meet, no curriculum, no differentiation of abilities, just learning through play and growing in social and emotional intelligence… and lots of mud. We’re passionate about getting kids back to nature, where every child can thrive. Sessions are led by experienced outdoor activity leaders, Sally and Linda.
Activities are open to all children aged 6-11 years.
£7 per child each session. Payment for each term is usually made up front at the first session.
