As part of our 30th anniversary year we are creating a new Wildlife Discovery Room, enabling us to support young people and others to learn about wildlife and the environment. This structure will be a simple roundwood timber framed building sited at the end of our self-catering Eco-Lodge. The building is in a prime position with windows overlooking the nature reserve and bird feeding station. The building will include monitoring equipment for viewing nest box & bird feeder cameras as well as other educational resources. The surrounding area will benefit from a small area of decking for outdoor wildlife activities, improvements to our natural play area, seating, interpretation and other landscaping.
Additionally, on Sunday 24th September 2017 we will hold a public Open Day to celebrate all our achievements. More information about this event will follow soon.
Our project received £9,971 from the Trust to help us to celebrate our 30th Anniversary.
