This workshop will provide you with an opportunity to make your own nine-patch sampler quilt using your choice of beautiful 100% cotton Batik fabrics from Bali to personalise your quilt colour, design and pattern, with the knowledge to continue quilt making in the future.

Patch work quilting is about storytelling, textiles carry memories of people, times and places. They keep us warm, decorate our homes and are used to celebrate milestones in our lives and remember those who are no longer with us. Group quilts are used for protest or to tell community group stories and are passed down through generations.Using beautiful 100% cotton Batik fabric from Bali you can choose from a wide choice of designs which will allow you to make your own decisions about colour, design and pattern.
You will learn each stage of the quilting process to enable you to continue to make independently in the future.
There is a choice for making by hand or sharing sewing machines.
All tools such as rotary cutters, rulers, pins etc will be provided.
