Hello from a new team member
This week we are delighted to welcome Lulu to the team – our new Facilities Manager …
Having moved to West Wales two years ago from Bristol, I have been holding out for a chance to get involved with Denmark Farm. I have kept my eyes peeled for the right job ever since and to my delight, The Shared Earth Trust have chosen to take me on as part of the team, giving me the role of Facilities Manager. I feel very excited to spend my days in such beautiful surroundings, and privileged to be part of such a unique and special project.
I have been working professionally in third sector, charity project development since 2011, with my foundation being in mental health social work. Over the past twelve years I have been managing various holistic, wellbeing and environmental community projects both in the UK and abroad; and in my personal life I have an interest in property restoration and sustainable development, having worked and woofed on various eco tourism sites and nature reserves. I have recently taken on my own project, buying a small patch of land and a half-derelict C18th corn mill on the Cardigan coast, that I am restoring using heritage skills and sustainable building techniques, learning as I go!
I am thrilled to be in a role where I can combine my personal and professional ethos with all my favourite activities and settings. Loving camping, exploring nature, eco design, sustainability, volunteering, conservation, travel, woodland, biodiverse landscapes, heritage skills and arts and crafts, Denmark Farm couldn’t be more perfect. And having spent much time as a volunteer abroad or traveller myself, I am committed to the importance of providing beautiful, unique holiday experiences that holistically support your wellbeing.
