Willow trivets are a beautiful addition to your table. They take hot dishes straight from the oven or hob.

This course is ideal for beginners or those not experienced in working with willow, as well as those who would like to practice making bases. These trivets make an attractive yet practical item as a gift or for the home.  You should be able to complete a set of two or three trivets by the end of the day.

These trivets make an attractive yet practical item as a gift or for the home.  You should be able to complete a set of two or three trivets by the end of the day.

On this one day workshop we will be looking at two different styles of creating a round base to make these attractive trivets and then we will use trac borders and simple rod boarders to make a nice finished edge. A selection of naturally coloured willow will be available for you to choose from.

Places are limited to eight participants per event and must be booked in advance.

Fee: £65 (includes tuition and hot drinks throughout the day)
All materials and tools will be provided, however there is an additional fee of £12 for the materials used. Please bring this in cash and pay to the tutor on the day.

“I had forgotten pretty much everything about basket weaving and I took part in this workshop to remind myself so that I can continue at home. I now can continue! The teaching was very good, Jane was observant, informative and careful to ensure reasonably high quality results. Denmark Farm is a top venue with great facilities”. Blue Morgan

“Thank you so much for arranging the basket making course. Jane is an amazing and thoughtful teacher. She gives everyone her undivided attention and responds to what they want to do and their level. It is relaxing just to be with her and I learn so much. A big thank you! It was like a mini-holiday.” Jane Johns
