Denmark Farm Conservation Centre is delighted to announce that we has been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Community Award for the third consecutive year, recognising the exceptional efforts of staff, volunteers and supporters who work tirelessly to care for this special nature reserve and community green space.
The Green Flag Community Award is the international mark of quality for volunteer-led green spaces, celebrating sites that demonstrate outstanding environmental management, excellent visitor experience and strong community involvement.
This year’s award forms part of a record-breaking success story for Wales, with hundreds of community-managed green spaces achieving Green Flag status in recognition of the vital role they play in supporting local communities, wildlife and the environment.
At Denmark Farm Conservation Centre, the award reflects the dedication of a remarkable community of volunteers who help maintain habitats, manage the reserve, support educational activities and create opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to connect with nature. Their contribution ensures that the site remains a welcoming, biodiverse and inspiring place for visitors throughout the year.
Chris Lambert, Nature Reserve and Volunteer Manager at Denmark Farm Conservation Centre, said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to receive the Green Flag Community Award for the third year running. This award is a testament to the dedication, enthusiasm and hard work of our incredible volunteers, whose commitment helps make Denmark Farm such a special place. Together, we care for habitats, support wildlife and create opportunities for people to connect with nature. We are immensely grateful to everyone who gives their time and energy to the Conservation Centre, and we’re proud that their efforts have once again been recognised through this prestigious award.”

Achieving Green Flag status is a true team effort, and the Denmark Farm Conservation Centre team would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to this success. Whether through volunteering, visiting, participating in events, supporting conservation work or simply championing our work by becoming a member, every contribution has helped secure this award once again.
The award is particularly significant because it recognises not only the quality of the site but also the dedication of the volunteers who make Denmark Farm such a special place. We are incredibly proud and grateful for their hard work, which helps maintain the reserve as a thriving haven for wildlife and a welcoming space for people to connect with nature.
As the Green Flag flies proudly over Denmark Farm for another year, the centre looks forward to continuing its work to conserve wildlife, inspire learning and provide opportunities for people to reconnect with the natural world.
Thank you to all the volunteers, visitors, members and supporters who have helped make this achievement possible. This award belongs to all of you.
