Create a beautiful and practical woodland woodworking set in this hands-on green woodcraft workshop. Using sustainably sourced timber and traditional hand tools, you’ll make a sturdy three-legged chopping block and matching wooden carving mallet, ideal for spoon carving, green woodworking, and general workshop use.

Participants will learn how to select and prepare log sections, shape and fit legs, carve and finish a durable wooden mallet, and assemble a chopping block built to last. Along the way, you’ll develop skills in axe work, carving, drilling, traditional joinery, and working with freshly cut timber.

By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a unique handcrafted chopping block and mallet set, along with the confidence and skills to continue exploring traditional woodland crafts at home.

Please note:
All tuition and tool use are included in the course fee.
There is an additional £15 to pay for the materials for your block and mallet.
