Willow Sculpture – Part 1 & 2 (SELL)

This is a 4 part course run on Mon/Tues as follows:  April 29th/30th and May 14th/15th 

A course to learn the exciting and versatile craft of weaving willow. Apply the simple technique to make sculpture for home and garden. Add to the creative experience by making drawings using charcoal made from willow wood to record your progress, a 2D experience to complement the 3D experience. Materials are included in the course fee.

PART 1 – Inspiration Day 1 and day 2, 10.00am to 3.30pm. Learn and practise techniques necessary to build structures using willow. Make a record of methods and materials by making large drawings in charcoal.

PART 2 – Research and development Home study with planning and exploration. Ideas for making and creating in part 3.

PART 3 – Realisation. Day 3 and day 4, 10.00am to 3.30pm – Design and make structures that you have planned. Draw to record progress.
