Willow Weaving ~ Creel Weave Basket (COVID SAFE EVENT)
This light-weight oval basket uses the Irish “fishing creel” weave to create open, beautiful sides.
During this two day workshop you will learn how to weave a Catalan base, set the stakes and begin the sides. The sides will then be completed with the creel weave and you will also learn how to add shape to the top and weave the border.
Because there are more complex techniques involved than some other baskets, this creel weave basket workshop is more suitable if you have some experience of willow weaving (or attended any of our other willow workshops).
**This workshop does not include the straps. You can source your own or purchase leather straps from the tutor on the day**

All tools and equipment will be provided.
Workshop Tutor:
NB. This workshop will take place outdoors with social distancing and hygiene measures in place. There will be a small number of participants split between two undercover areas. Please come prepared to work outdoors with warm clothing etc. Please also bring all of your own drinks, food and cups etc. There will be access to a compost toilet with plenty of hand sanitiser available.

Workshop Fee: £110 per person
NB. There is an additional £15 per person for materials, to be paid in cash on the day (straps are additional to this or bring your own).
