Willow Basket Weaving
A three day basket weaving workshop in traditional ‘stake and strand’ basket making, using willow grown at Denmark Farm on the wetland system.
Suitable for people with some previous basket making experience or beginners.
You can book for one, two or all three days.
In one day you can make a round fruit basket or similar.
In two to three days you can make a bigger project such as a shopping or log basket and do square or oval work.
All tools and materials provided. If you have your own sharp secateurs and a knife, please bring them along.
Please wear warm old clothing.
Tutor: Jane Welsh
Jane is an experienced basket maker and attentive teacher. Her knowledge and love of willow is inspiring. She will also have a range of her own baskets for sale at very reasonable prices.
Fee: £35 for one day / £65 for two days
(plus £5 per day for materials)
