Give your children the freedom to explore in our lovely woodland forest school where they can enjoy learning practical skills, meet new friends and have fun.
Forest School Leader: James Kendall
Come and spend a day in the woods, build a fire to cook your lunch and enjoy a home-cooked meal together. Make a den to hide away, pop some corn or toast marshmallows over the fire and create some woodland craft work to take home.
You can’t go for a walk in the wild without a good stick, so this session we will also be aiming for every child to come away with their own personalised walking stick. James will be leading kids through safe sharp tool use, using both knives and hand axes. We will have a few different options for decorating your stick also, using all sorts of materials from leather to wool.
Based around our roundhouse for shelter and fire pit for warmth, children will have a magical adventure that they will never forget. This event is aimed at 8-12 year olds; children age 7 and under are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring for each child waterproofs (trousers & top), warm jumper or fleece, wellies, boots or strong trainers; no open shoes please as we will be around the fire and using tools.
Lunch included in fee for children and any accompanying adults are welcome to join us for lunch for a £5 contribution.
Fee: £30 (includes hot campfire lunch)
NB. children aged 7 (or under) must be accompanied by an adult (min 1 adult per 2 children age 7 & under).
Discount of £5 for each additional child booked from same family
