This free training workshop – ideal for beginners – will introduce you to the identification of dragonfly larvae and larval cases (exuvia) and their importance in monitoring dragonfly populations and their breeding sites.

The day will be a mixture of indoor identification workshops and a hunt for specimens in the field.

Refreshments provided – bring your lunch,  plus outdoor gear.

The tutor:

Scott Roe is a field ecologist, and has been running the Green Phoenix wildlife project with volunteers since 2005. He regularly leads workshops for volunteers in identification and monitoring of a range of wildlife.
