raw chocolateThis workshop enables you to make the things you love in a natural way, with the knowledge of knowing exactly what ingredients are in the foods.
Homemade Raw Chocolate is also a great Christmas present!

The history of chocolate began in Mesoamerica. The Aztecs believed that cacao seeds were the gift of the god of wisdom and the seeds were once used as a form of currency. The Mayan culture used cacao in ceremonies and religious rituals.

The Workshop

Peggy will start with a short introduction covering the backgrounds of raw chocolate, whilst you enjoy tasting an authentic Spicy Aztec Hot Chocolate drink. Then we will get straight into the chocolate making and you will learn how to make your own chocolates with only a few, easy to source, healthy ingredients. Experiment by adding fruit, nuts and other flavours and turning the chocolates into different shapes.

Please bring your own cutting boards and storage containers to take your chocolate home in. Peggy will provide all the ingredients, which are wherever possible organic. If you have specific ingredients you would like in your chocolate please bring them.

The recipes will be provided as hand-outs from the tutor, to take home.

For food allergies please contact Peggy beforehand and she will try and accommodate your requests.
