Planned activities so far:
Nature activities – including pond dipping, bug hunts and ‘Go Wild in the Woods’ activities for children
Guided tours – New Eco Lodge and Wildlife Garden areas
Pony rides for younger children
Crafts & stalls – mosaic-making, up-cycling, bug hotels, plants, optics and many more
Tool-sharpening demo – bring those garden shears and other blunt tools along and let our expert show you how to make them as good as new (donations welcome).
Pureride Cycles – demonstrating different options for riding bikes as families. Also providing basic bike clinic – bring a bike which needs a few adjustments and make a donation. Pureride also hope to have a cycle-powered smoothie maker with them.
Lil Tudor-Craig – nature artist will be with us to show her work.
Displays celebrating our three-year ‘Wildlife Where You Live’ project funded by The Big Lottery Fund.
Get help with wildlife identification with Clare Flynn from i-spot: bring your camera to take a photo of something you find here on the day, or a photo you have already taken, and Clare will show you how to access the i-spot community of experts and enthusiasts
Food & refreshments – Tom Bean and his mobile pizza oven, ‘Made in Mach’ supplying delicious hot and cold vegetarian meals, and of course tea, coffee and yummy homemade cakes.
