This is a “hands on” practical course introducing students to the principles of digital photography when applied to photographing the natural world; a unique course that looks at the point where photography and ecology meet. The course will cater for student s of varying backgrounds, from those looking to follow a new interest or hobby, to those who wish to apply a new skill in an already established ecology / environmental sciences background. The course content ranges from teaching students the basics of camera and photographical equipment handling  to using a camera in the field and gives a comprehensive introduction to all aspects of modern photographical equipment. What’s more this course has been set with in the beautiful surroundings of Denmark Farm, which is brimming with wildlife and natural wonders just waiting to be photographed, a brilliant environment in which to practice and refine your new found photographical skills.

Students will need to have their own digital camera and preferably a laptop computer. It may also be advisable to bring outdoor clothing and shoes suitable for walking in.
