Polytunnel growing

A polytunnel not only protects crops from the elements but can also enable you to extend your growing season as well as experiment with crops you wouldn’t normally be able to grow in Wales. Whether you’re just thinking about purchasing one but are unsure, or already have a polytunnel and would like advice on getting the most out of it, this course will teach you how to successfully grow food in your polytunnel space throughout the year.

  • Get tips on choosing and planning a polytunnel
  • Explore the benefits of a polytunnel and how you can successfully extend your growing season
  • Determine how to plan your polytunnel growing space to get the most out of it
  • Discover the best crops to grow in your polytunnel
  • Learn how to recognise common pest and disease problems and how to control them
  • Suitable for seasoned growers and those wanting to get started growing in polytunnels

Please note: This course will involve outdoor demonstrations so please come prepared for the weather.
