On this workshop you will be using native, natural and hand-dyed wool, and learning about both wet and needle felting.
We will be using these felting methods to felt a landscape, either from your imagination, or from a picture or photo you bring with you – perhaps your favourite scene or view? You can also browse through the books Emma will provide.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities, including beginners. Emma will guide you through the techniques and you will be able to take home your completed ‘feltscape’ at the end of the workshop.
All the materials are available for you to choose from, and cost £10 pp. There will also be the opportunity to purchase a kit to go home and continue to needle felt.
Tutor: Emma from FfolkyFfelt
Fee: £40 per person
NB. There is an additional £10 per workshop for materials, to be paid in cash on the day.
Places are limited to ten participants per event and must be booked in advance.
Review = “I’ve never tried any kind of felting before – a complete beginner in every sense of the word. The workshop was brilliant, so much choice of materials in incredible colours, the day was extremely well thought out, accommodating beginners like me, yet providing a setting where more experienced felters could also get the most from it. Emma managed to find that perfect balance of offering tuition, guidance and help, or letting us guide ourselves when we needed/wanted to. It was a very relaxing and creative day, fab venue and a nice group of people; allowing everyone to have some 1-1 time with Emma as well. I loved the workshop and was so proud of what I managed to achieve with my day, definitely worth it and would highly recommend Emma as a teacher and artist.” Martine Finlay Feb 2017
