Hats off to Felt – Make a Felt Hat in a day

When

21/02/2013
10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Event Type

Tutor: Lorraine Pocklington In this day long workshop you will build on the wet felting techniques learned in the beginners’ class to make yourself (or a friend) a wearable hat.  Learn how to create a made to measure template, and how to influence the shape of the felt to make the style of hat that you favour – whether a beret, a cloche, a trilby or any number of classic styles. Warm and surprisingly waterproof, your aim will be to take away a hat that you are happy to wear in public! In preparation for this class you will need to measure your head. A couple of weeks ahead we’ll ask you for your choice of colour and get you thinking about the style of hat you’d like to make.

Fee: £40 (£35 if you book early*) & (£6 for materials to be paid on the day)

This event is now fully booked. Please get in touch if you’d like to be informed when we run it next.
