While the fundamental aspects of digital photography will be covered (handling and configuring the digital camera, lens selection, exposure, composition and image critique), this course will concentrate on taking photographs of specific wildlife subjects in the field (e.g. insects, birds or flowers).

The learner will be given the opportunity to observe and photograph a range of wildlife subjects unmolested and in their natural habitats. Combining field craft knowledge and camera skills, such as specialist lens selection, students will get the best from their subjects enabling them to become a competent wildlife photographer. On successful completion we can offer progression to complimentary lifelong Learning courses such as Photoshop for Photographers. For students not confident in your basic digital photography skills we recommend you first complete XS01010 introduction to Outdoor Digital Photography. Students will need their own digital camera (compact or DSLR), laptop computer and tripod.
