In partnership with the National Botanic Garden of Wales, ‘Growing The Future’ project we are able to offer you an exciting range of gardening courses; providing you with the skills to start growing your own edible garden of delicious fruit & veg.
Everything you need to know about compost and how to feed your plants for free!
A compost heap is an essential part of the vegetable garden. Growing edible crops every year in the same space will deplete the soil of nutrients making composting a great way of recycling nutrients to return them to the ground. This course will teach you different methods and processes you can use at home to help your garden and the environment.
- Learn the importance and reasons for composting
- Explore the principles of home composting and practical composting techniques
- Take home hints and tips for successful composting
- Discover different composting methods and the pros and cons of each
