Would you like to develop your skills in bumblebee identification?
This FREE training session, organised by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, will include the identification of all UK bumblebee species and a detailed description of their ecology, lifecycle and anatomy. We will focus on some of the more difficult to identify species, including cuckoo bumblebees. Attendees should already be able to identify the common eight species.
The session will run from 10 am – 3pm. There will be a morning session indoors, then afternoon will be spent in the field.
Bring nets, pots and hand lens if you have them. We also recommend you bring lunch, water, sun screen, sturdy footwear and waterproofs.
Tutor: The session will be led by Sinead Lynch of Bumblebee Conservation Trust.
There is no charge for the training, but donations to support the conservation work of our charity The Shared Earth Trust are welcome.
