COVID-19 Protocols for Eco Lodge

Valid from December 2021 until further notice – to be reviewed on or before 1st March 2022

These protocols are temporary and developed in line with guidance from the Welsh Government. They are additional to our standard Terms and Conditions of Booking.


  • To enable ‘Test, Trace and Protect’ please let us know full names, address, contact telephone number and e-mail of all people in your household group
  • We can provide a contactless arrival with key left in key safe or in door
  • Bedding can be provided, or you bring your own if preferred – please let us know
  • There will be restricted access to shared facilities – Utility and Laundry room.
  • The gift shop (located in the office building) will be open at set times. Facemasks must now be worn by both visitors and staff whilst indoors. Reusable facemasks will be on sale in the shop as well as many other local craft products and publications
  • Please respect social distancing rules and keep at least 2 metres apart from all other guests, visitors, our farmhouse tenant, and staff for everyone’s safety
  • Guests must be responsible for all children in their group and ensure that children 12 and over follow guidelines
  • We would be especially grateful if rubbish and recycling is sorted carefully into the containers provided. Full instructions are in the welcome pack and notices on bins etc.

On your departure:

  • Ventilation – open all windows and doors early on the morning of departure
  • When departing please strip all beds and place dirty linen (but not mattress & pillow protectors) into red laundry bag provided
  • Empty the apartment’s compost bin into the main compost bin (located opposite the kitchen garden area)
  • Please ensure that you vacate the apartment no later than 10am on the morning of the agreed departure date

In the event of further local or national lockdown restrictions:

  • All monies paid will be transferred to an alternative booking date subject to availability
  • Alternatively, a credit note can be issued which will be valid for eighteen months from the date of the original stay

If you show symptoms of COVID-19 before or during your stay:

  • If any guest shows COVID-19 symptoms, or is asymptomatic and declares the need to self-isolate, before arrival they must not travel to Denmark Farm until they receive a negative PCR test result
  • If any guest shows COVID-19 symptoms, or is asymptomatic and declares the need to self-isolate, during their stay they must leave the apartment immediately and travel directly home in line with government advice
  • If you or anyone in your household group have acute symptoms, breathing difficulties, or life is at potential risk, seek medical help immediately
  • Please inform a staff member with the name and contact details for the suspected case
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds or transfers for full or part stays in these instances

Our Commitment to be COVID Safe:

  • Denmark Farm has registered with Good to Go
  • We will respect your privacy and safety at all times. We will not come into your space except in an emergency, in which case we will wear a face covering and request you to do so as well
  • Risk Assessments and enhanced cleaning protocols will be in place and can be viewed by guests
  • Bed Linen will be washed at 60°C. Mattress protectors, duvets and pillows will be switched over between guests
  • In the instance where a previous guest has had a suspected case of COVID-19, the apartment will be deep cleaned and left vacant for at least 72 hours. This may in some cases affect the start date of following stays
