‘Good to Go’ COVID-19 Information

As we reopen Denmark Farm to the local community, guests and volunteers, we would like to ensure everyone that we are striving to keep our nature reserve and facilities as COVID Safe as possible.

Denmark Farm has been awarded the Good to Go standard, meaning we have completed an assessment to check our facilities and activities adhere to Government and public health guidance.

It has been a quiet time during the lockdown and, although the wildlife has continued with all of its usual spring business, we have very much missed our human visitors. Now we are looking forward to opening up and welcoming you all back, with open arms, whilst keeping everyone safe.

Opening the Nature Reserve to visitors

The Nature Reserve is open for the local community to reconnect with nature and get their essential exercise and fresh air. The Little Green Shop has also now reopened and visitors are welcome to pop in during working hours. Face masks are still to be worn in line with Welsh Government guidelines. We are now stocking a wide range of local crafts, cards, gifts, books and wildlife publications.

Welcoming guests back to the Eco Lodge, Bunkhouse and Campsite

Our self-catering Eco Lodge Bunkhouse and Eco Campsite are all currently open for guest stays again.

We have carried out a comprehensive COVID-19 Risk Assessment and introduced enhanced cleaning procedures. Social distancing measures are in place and hand sanitising stations available.

For more information please see our COVID-19 protocols for Eco Lodge bookings.

Getting volunteering started again

Our conservation volunteering activities are all up and running once again. Please e-mail Ryan, our volunteer manager volunteer@denmarkfarm.org.uk, if you are interested in volunteering with us.

Workshops and Events

We have adapted our events programme to adhere to COVID guidelines. All of our events are now taking place with much reduced numbers, either indoors with good ventilation or based in our outdoor classroom. We ask participants to carry out a lateral flow test before attending.
