Want to know how to build outdoor timber steps that will last and look professional?
In this short course you will learn theory and practice for building timber steps in the outdoors. Join experienced Countryside Skills Tutor, Peter Drake who will guide you through the whole process from start to finish. Topics covered will include: siting your steps, assessing gradient, considering ‘access for all’ and practical carpentry. This course would suit landowners, landscapers or conservation professionals looking to improve their skills in access works. Beginners are very welcome.
All tools and equipment will be provided as well as plenty of hot drinks and biscuits. Please come dressed for cold and wet weather and bring a packed lunch.

Unwaged/low-waged participants: £35
Waged participants: £40
If you require accommodation during this course you can choose to stay in the Self-Catering Eco Lodge at Denmark Farm from £38 per night (min 2 nights) or in our shared dormitory for £18 for night or bring your own tent and stay on our Eco Campsite for £12.50 per night.
